In 1970 I was teaching science and math at the junior Hi level in Orange County, not making much money. That summer like most teachers I was looking for something to do, and ended up washing windows. I added on cleaning and buffing floors, then ran into some guys cleaning carpets. I was quickly disappointed because, although I was able to get windows and floors perfectly clean and shiny, I couldn't get carpets clean to my satisfaction. So, I wondered If I used my floor scrubber on the carpet, Then rinsed it with a wet vacuum (we didn't have portable carpet cleaners then, let alone Truckmounts) I would have better luck.
