Assistance League of Inland, a chapter of Assistance League, is a nonprofit organization of volunteers committed to serving community needs in Escondido, Calif. The chapter supports a number of initiatives, including scholarships, clothing drives and toy programs for children. Assistance League was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the Western United States to utilize volunteers for the assistance of underprivileged children, families and individuals. With approximately 24,000 members in 115 chapters throughout the country, the organization s volunteers contribute more than 2 million hours each year through philanthropic projects for the emotional and physical benefit of children and adults of all ages. Assistance League of Inland was established in 1935.
