Established in 1972, the Asian American Drug Abuse Program is a health care center. It offers drug screening and diversion and individual, group and family counseling services. The center provides child protection, tobacco education, social, water conservation, and HIV/AIDS outreach and cross training services. It also offers various drug court services for Inglewood municipal courts. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the center maintains an outpatient unit in Inglewood, Calif. It offers a special deliveries day treatment program that provides drug abuse treatment services specifically designed to meet the needs of pregnant and parenting women. Its special deliveries program was founded in 1991 and includes acupuncture treatment, basic health education, life skills training, parenting education, on-site child care, satellite housing, and physical education and fitness services.
