I teach movement. Jiu Jitsu is movement. It is a form of combat (Martial). It is a form of expression (Art). Is everyone capable of doing Jiu Jitsu? Absolutely. Is Jiu Jitsu for everyone? No, it's not. It exposes you to your vulnerabilities, and sheds light upon your ego. Like all life-long endeavors, it chooses you. Jiu Jitsu brings with it a plethora of rewards, such as physical empowerment, mental toughness, personal growth, and discipline. Personally, it continues to help me become a better version of myself. Not all movement is biomechanically sound. Muscular imbalances cause compensations, which lead to dysfunctional movement patterns and eventual injuries. To remedy that, I teach clients how to move correctly across fundamental movements (pushing, pulling, hip hinging, squatting, etc). I write programs that are custom-tailored and specifically designed to help my clients meet their goals. I prioritize proper form and safety instead of unnecessary exercises that feed the ego but damage the body.
