History
Artisan Place was created by vendors from Village Crafters after it closed. One of our owners and crafters, Geri Pruett, is the very original artist who started Village Crafters over 20 years ago. Many of the crafters from the previous store are with Artisan Place as well as new and unique crafters from the local Bay Area. We are proud to continue the traditions, value, and uniquess that was Village Crafters in our new shop, Artisan Place. After being in business in the Village for 4 years, we are proud to announce we have moved to a new and better location. We are now in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Redwood Road and Castro Valley Boulevard. We are only 2 doors up from Peet's Coffee and have created a beautiful and relaxing store for you to enjoy. Parking is so much easier in this new location and you can get your groceries, enjoy a coffee, and shop at our store without having to ever move your car.
