History
Anew Day was established to meet the needs of our community by providing free counseling services. The orgininal vision was to reach area High School kids, but instead Anew Day has been meeting the needs of all who are 13 years of age and above. The lay counselors are supervised by a Marriage, Family, Therapist who meets with them on a weekly basis for continuing education and to assist them with any hurdles they may encounter in the lay counseling arena. We currently have over 30 active lay counselors and are continuing to train the community through our Counselor Training Workshop.
Specialties
We provide free counseling for those 13 years of age and above. We offer drop-in Men's group, Women's group, Grief recovery group, and a Healing through the Art program. Anew Day also offers a Counselor Training Workshop which provides participants with the basic skill set to active listening and much more. Please contact us for more information.
