The Almonte District Improvement Club is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization belonging to the residents of Mill Valley. Its purpose is "to promote and contribute to the civic welfare and betterment of the Almonte District Community and its environment." It works on such issues as land use and development, public transportation, traffic congestion, beautification, flood control, marshland protection and more.
