History
We are a 100% volunteer, not-for-profit organization founded in 2008 to serve the mental health needs of the Coachella Valley community and those in the outlying desert areas. Our specific purpose is to provide mental and behavioral health services focusing on individual, children, adolescents, couples, seniors, and families. We identified a need for counseling and therapy services that are affordable (based on a sliding scale) to anyone seeking such services.
Specialties
Everyone deserves affordable, quality mental health care. Our aim is to empower individuals and families to build and maintain healthy lives that enable them to cultivate better relationships and pursue meaningful work/education and leisure activities. Additionally, we aim to strengthen the community and its individuals, contributing to better well-being and healthy lifestyles now and throughout their lives. ADWC does this by providing evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, clinical intervention, and feedback by means of the Center's team which includes the individual client and his/her family when appropriate.
