About A.G. Layne A.G. Layne was built in 1964 by Shell Oil Company as a distributor or jobber of their quality fuels, lubricants and solvents. After a few years the business was sold to a former Shell employee named Alton G. Layne. Hence the name, A.G. Layne. A.G. Layne has remained a family business ever since. With a strong commitment to excellent service, A.G. Layne has serviced many industrial markets for over 40 years. Today, A.G. Layne is a full service regional distributor servicing all of Southern California and most of Arizona. With locations in Los Angeles and Phoenix, A.G. Layne is well positioned to service much of the Pacific Southwest. A.G. Layne still offers Shell's chemicals and solvents, as well as Shell's outstanding line of lubricants, but our line has grown to include many other chemicals, solvents, and coatings. We offer services in blending, packaging, and private labeling. We offer many package sizes from tank truck quantities to IBCs, from drums to pails and cases of one gallon bottles. We also have compliant products for paint and coatings, printing, and the metal finishing industries. A.G. Layne made a total company commitment to safety and to our environment in the late 1980 s when we joined NACD, the National Association of Chemical Distributors. Closely following NACD's excellent management practices for safety and training, A.G. Layne has developed good procedures in all areas of chemical distribution.
