HistoryDinuka bought this already established preschool in March of 2008. However, Kid Works had been in business since the late 80's. Kid Works moved to the current location in 1997. The property was being used as a preschool already. We are proud to have the children of parents who attended preschool in this location.SpecialtiesA preschool for ages 3 - 5 with a focus on a developmental philosophy with the best of many other philosophies in child development. We value play and the learning that happens with play: problem solving, spatial awareness, teamwork, empathy, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, challenges, perseverance, cognitive development, language, confidence and importantly appropriate risk-taking. The list goes on. We have an edible garden that the children maintain where we can eat sugar snap peas right off the vine, beans of the vine, tomatoes, carrots etc. They get to witness the seasonal changes that happen, dig, rake, smell the flowers, pick 'some' flowers, feed the animals. It is a magical place for children to explore.
