The Division of Hematology/Oncology provides diagnosis and therapy services for nonneoplastic conditions, such as anemia, coagulation and immunodeficiency. The division focuses on the treatment of malignant diseases using standard dose chemotherapy and biologic response-modifying agents. It also conducts clinical and laboratory research on multiple myeloma and related disorders. The Division of Hematology/Oncology is a part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), which has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students in various academic units that include medicine, pharmacy, nursing and public health colleges, as well as a graduate school. It also has over 700 resident physicians on training. The Division of Hematology/Oncology division is located in Little Rock, Ark.
