The Sherwood Fire Department provides a variety of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. It has achieved certification from the International Organization for Standardization. The department operates more than three fire stations throughout the City of Sherwood in Arkansas. It offers life, property and environment protection services. The department additionally provides fire intervention, public education and safety awareness programs. It offers first aid training, rescue and emergency medical services. The department provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. It also offers safety tips and related information on smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, hydrants and alarm systems. The department supports the National Safe Kids Campaign. The Sherwood Fire Department is governed by the City of Sherwood, which also operates animal services, police, public works, and parks and recreation departments.
