The Osceola Police Department, led by Chief John Weldon, is dedicated to serving and protecting the citizens of Osceola, Arkansas. With a team of 24 full-time officers, 5 reserve officers, and 12 civilian employees, they work tirelessly to maintain law and order in the community.
The department operates out of the Osceola Justice Building, which also houses the City of Osceola Jail and the Osceola District Court. The jail division can accommodate up to 56 adult inmates and also participates in the 309 program, which allows state inmates to contribute to the daily operations of the jail. In addition to their law enforcement duties, the department is actively involved in humanitarian efforts, such as the National Child Passenger Safety Program, where child safety seats are distributed and installed each year.
