The Northwest Arkansas Oral History Project is a collaborative effort aimed at collecting and preserving the memories and stories of individuals residing in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties. Supported by local Questers chapters, the project has expanded to include various partners such as the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History, museums, libraries, and other organizations.
With 65 interviews already collected, the project ensures the preservation of these valuable narratives in the Special Collections Library at the University of Arkansas. Financial support was obtained through a grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council, and the project was coordinated by Camille Hatcher and Connie Fetters, along with a dedicated team of volunteers.
