I've been in health care for over ten years, and I enjoy being able to help people. You meet them when usually they're at their worst, and if you can make a difference in their life, that's a win. My favorite part is being able to get to know my patients. You're seeing them for their follow-ups. You're seeing them when they're not feeling well, and you get to develop that rapport so that you can help them in the best way possible. Being honest with people is one of the best ways to build rapport. You don't want to give them unrealistic expectations. Everybody really wants to know what's going on with them. Honesty is always the best way to build rapport as well as being professional and kind.
