Chabad-Lubavitch Center of Arkansas, founded in 1992 and located in Little Rock, is part of a worldwide Jewish group offering a complete range of adult education classes and youth programs including a summer camp. It has restored the state's aged mikvah, making holistic programs and publishing the state's only Jewish newspaper which is distributed to every Jewish household in Arkanasas. The movement is guided by the teachings of its seven leaders who expounded upon the aspects of Jewish mysticism and law, personifying the Biblical qualities of piety and leadership. They concerned themselves with the totality of Jewish life, spiritual and physical, and laid down programs, services and institutions to serve every Jew, develop a sense of community and enhance the experience of being Jewish. Chabad-Lubavitch Center of Arkansas does not charge for membership or pastoral services and voluntary donations are accepted.
