Opened in 1953, Baxter County Library offers a wide range of books and magazines to the kids, teens and adults of the Baxtor County. Occupying an area of 3,024 square feet in Gassville, Ark., it stocks approximately 75,000 books of varied genres. The types of reading materials available in the library are Arkansas and Ozarks collection, foreign film collection, great courses series, interlibrary loans, large print books, paperback exchange program and periodicals and newspapers. Baxter County Library also houses special reference materials, college catalogs or scholarship information, consumer information, federal/state income tax forms and local genealogy information.
