Founded in 1972, Friendship Community Care is a private, nonprofit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in more than 10 counties of the Arkansas River Valley region and waiver services in Arkansas. The organization offers services to people who are suffering with mental retardation, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and similar disorders. It provides supports and services to individuals and families that will allow them to be independent and productive citizens. Friendship Community Care serves over 500 individuals in a fifteen-county area in Arkansas. The organization has a vehicle transportation system that provides access to a general community, programs, school-age services, medical appointments and recreation. Friendship Community Care also operates technology, nursing and training departments. The organization maintains locations in Marshall, West Fork, Mount View, Clarksville, Siloam Springs, Dover and Russellville, Ark.
