The Water & Sewer Maintenance Division is a public service agency that provides management and maintenance solutions for water distribution systems in the City of Fayetteville in Arkansas. It operates more than five pump stations and serves over 75,000 residents throughout the cities of Farmington, Greenland, Wheeler, Goshen and Johnson. The division maintains nearly 530 miles of water mains and approximately 275 miles of service line. It additionally manages more than 2,100 fire hydrants, over 7,500 valves and nearly 10 storage tanks. The division coordinates a sewer maintenance program that includes cleaning, design and replacement of sewer systems. It is responsible for the repair of pumps, manholes and sewer mains. The division works in partnerships with contract service vendors, consulting engineering firms, and federal and state regulatory agencies. It offers wholesale services to the Mount Olive Rural Water System and the Washington Water Authority. The Water & Sewer Maintenance Division is a part of the government of the City of Fayetteville, which also operates aviation, engineering, fire and police departments.
