History
The Collier family began their tradition of serving Northwest Arkansas back in 1917 when M.M. Collier opened the Red Cross Drug Store on the Fayetteville Square. In 1930, Morris G. Collier joined his father serving as a pharmacist. In 1950, the family opened a second store on Dickson Street and named it Collier Drug Store. At the new location, Collier Drug was a modern pharmacy with an old-timey atmosphere that featured a soda fountain. When the doors opened on Dickson Street in 1950, they opened with the help of electricity. In the 1970s, Carl Collier and his brother, Morris H. Collier, started working as pharmacists alongside their father, Morris G. Today, you don't have to go too far to find a Collier Drug location ready to serve you no matter where you live in Northwest Arkansas. Under the leadership of Carl's son, Mel, Collier Drug has grown but still continues the tradition of service M.M. Collier began almost 100 years ago.
