Arkansas State University established in 1927, offers associate degrees, certificates, and noncredit training for business and industry. It has campuses located in Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy and Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. Its Beebe campus offers baccalaureate and graduate degrees. It offers courses in advanced technology and allied health, business and agriculture, education and social science, English and fine arts, mathematics and science and occupational technology. Its departments include applied arts, the agriculture technology and the university center. Its other facilities include a student center, Abington library, cafeteria and music center. The area career center provides training to students of high schools within a 25-mile radius of campuses.
