The Arkansas National Guard Youth Challenge Program is a free program that aims to help young people aged 16-18 in Arkansas better prepare for their future. Through instilling self-discipline, motivation, honor, respect, anger management, and other character traits, the program helps students develop important life skills and values. Participants have the opportunity to earn their Arkansas High School Diploma or GED, as well as scholarships to attend colleges and trade schools.
The program holds two classes per year, starting in mid-January and mid-July, and is funded by both State and Federal funds. With a mission to intervene and reclaim the lives of young individuals, the Arkansas National Guard Youth Challenge Program strives to produce graduates who possess the necessary skills, education, values, and self-discipline to succeed as productive citizens.
