The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, also known as ADEQ, is an agency of the state of Arkansas. It administers regulatory programs that determine compliance, set pollution limits and enforce environmental laws and regulations. The department operates regulatory divisions that include air, water, solid waste, hazardous waste, regulated storage tanks and mining. It offers tools and resources to protect natural resources. The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality also operates through environmental preservation and technical services, public outreach and assistance, emergency response, legal, computer services, fiscal and management services divisions. It offers loans and tax credits for environmental improvement projects. The department administers Regulatory programs that have tracked more than 31,000 facilities.
