Established in 1976, the Housing Authority of the City of Yuma also known as HACY is a public agency chartered by the State of Arizona to administer the affordable housing programs to the residents of the city of Yuma, Ariz. Currently, the housing authority is funded to assist over 1122 families under the Section 8 Program. Approximately 400 area landlords currently participate in the program by providing affordable rental housing opportunities for HACY residents. The agency also provides third party management services for more than 30 units of elderly housing at Casa Sierra Vista and 36 units of Low Income Housing Tax Credit Townhouses for families in Carver Park. Additionally, the Housing Authority of the City of Yuma provides a wide range of maintenance services for its owned and managed assets/property.
