History
Following law school, Bert began his career at the Arizona Attorney General's Office as an Assistant Attorney General, serving as legal counsel for various state agencies and handling litigation claims and actions filed in state and federal courts. While in that capacity, he argued an appeal before the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Bert is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of Arizona and is also admitted to appear in the U.S. District Court for Arizona and the U.S. Ninth Circuit. In September 2000, Bert joined the Phoenix law firm of Schmitt, Schneck, Smyth & Herrod, where he worked in the areas of civil litigation, contract litigation, business litigation and family law. In 2007 Bert opened his own office specializing in estate planning and personal injury.
