Roberts Elementary School, established in 1961, is named after Clara Fish Roberts, who was a teacher and the first woman trustee in the district. It has an annual enrollment of more than 470 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Roberts Elementary School supports several after-school programs that provide supplement academic services. The school is a part of the Tucson Unified School District, which is one of the largest school systems in Arizona and teaches over 60,000 students in nearly 120 educational institutions. Located in Tucson, Ariz., Roberts Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher organization that sponsors educational and social programs that complement the classroom curriculum.
