Founded in 1972, Native American Connections is a nonprofit organization that serves the behavioral health care needs of the urban Indian population and tribal communities throughout the Southwest. It offers transitional and permanent housing options for disadvantaged individuals and families. The organization provides treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. It also offers educational services for pregnant, postpartum and parenting women. Native American Connections specializes in therapeutic intervention, employment readiness and workforce development services. It provides individual, family and group counseling, as well as training for healthy lifestyle, coping and life skills development. Additionally, the organization offers case management, financial literacy and homebuyer educational programs. Located in Phoenix, Native American Connections provides social services in collaboration with several Indian human service organizations.
