Kristen Maskala, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. Dr. Maskala completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Florida Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Maskala bases her practice on twenty years of experience treating sports-related injuries and arthritis. As an undergraduate student at Marquette University, she excelled as a member of the basketball team. With an early passion for working with athletes, Dr. Maskala went on to attend Rush Medical School, as well as an orthopedic residency and fellowship training in sports medicine arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Maskala's clinical focus is in the evaluation of sports injuries and providing comprehensive treatment options. She specializes in ACL primary reconstruction and revision surgeries, meniscal repairs, as well as partial and total knee replacement. Her philosophy is to treat patients just as she would want her own family member to be treated; offering tailored treatment plans with her patients’ specific goals and preferences in mind. Dr. Maskala takes great pride in supporting local high school sports as a team physician and supporting athletes of all kinds.
