Radio station AM 1230 KOY was founded in 1921 by Earl Nielsen, a Phoenix businessman that received a license for operating an experimental radio station. The radio station is now owned by Clear Channel Communications, one of the largest radio groups in the United States, with more than 1,700 radio stations worldwide. AM 1230 KOY offers a variety of programming and shows, such as business and entertainment news, music and movie reviews, talk radio, public service announcements, opinions and editorials and community programming and events. The radio station is located in Phoenix.
