The Community Services Department is governed by the City of Tucson in Arizona. It is responsible for the administration of housing, community development and social services programs for low- and middle-income people. The department plans, funds and operates programs that assist families throughout Pima County in Arizona. It also investigates code complaints that affect the health and safety of residents, such as the Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance and Refuse Code. The Community Services Department helps individuals and neighborhoods to increase communication and foster positive relationships. It additionally administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The department supports the Metropolitan Housing Commission and the Community Development Advisory Committee.
