Established in 1996, the Desert Voices Oral Learning Center is a private, nonprofit school that offers a range of educational programs to children with hearing impairments. Its curriculum includes language, syntax, speech and auditory skill programs and academic subjects. The center provides birth to three, toddler group and mainstream transition programs. It also operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events and programs. It offers an educational program for children between the ages of 3 and 9, as well as provides session in language, reading and writing. The center employs language pathologists, as well as organizes professional conferences. The Desert Voices Oral Learning Center is accredited by the Arizona State Board of Education and is located in Phoenix.
