Established in 1961, Coronado High School is a college preparatory school, offering a variety of educational and enrichment programs to more than 1,300 students enrolled in grades nine through 12. It offers advanced placement courses in English, mathematics, science and social studies. Through its learning resource center and life skills center, the school provides various services and programs for students with learning disabilities and special needs. The school also offers various sports programs, such as baseball, softball and tennis, and provides career guidance and counseling services to its students. Its parent-teacher association organizes and participates in various school events and activities throughout the school year. Located in Scottsdale, Ariz., Coronado High School operates under the guidelines set by the Scottsdale Unified School District.
