Dr. Gruber has expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. His specific interests are rotator cuff disease and anterior cruciate ligament injury to the knee. Dr. Gruber spent many years on the path to pursuing his goal, beginning with an undergraduate degree from Newman University in Kansas where he was also an academic All-American in Baseball. He then went on to graduate with honors and Alpha Omega Alpha recognition from the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. Gruber completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then completed his orthopedic and sports medicine training at Washington University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and has specific training in orthopedic Sports Medicine.
