Mr. Banta grew up in Payson, Arizona and has made Gilbert, Arizona his home since 2000. He attended the University of Arizona and studied and received a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences in 1993. He was named Outstanding Senior by the Department of Animal Sciences. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he studied both ruminant nutrition and reproductive physiology at the graduate level before leaving the University to work as a herdsman on dairies in Arizona and Hawaii. In 1997 he enrolled in law school at the University of Arizona. He excelled academically in law school, finishing 15th in his class and being selected to the Arizona Law Review, where he served as an Articles Editor. Upon graduation from law school in 2000, he began work as a litigation associate at Lewis and Roca, LLP in Phoenix. In 2004 he left Lewis and Roca, LLP to form his own firm.
