The American Foundation, established in1982 and based in Phoenix, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian public charity organization. It assists individuals, families and corporations to create family and corporate foundation accounts that give financial support to their favorite charities. The organization creates tax and financial planning opportunities for board members, stockholders, executives and key employees. It also assists existing private corporate foundations with implementing new operating techniques. The annual gift allocation to The American Foundation first pays for the actual cost of foundation account or trust administration. The remaining money is used to develop and expand the charitable mission of promoting and facilitating the privatization of philanthropy.
