History
In 2000, Tatyana Chayka founded the first Academy of Math and Science in Tucson, Arizona. Her vision was to create a school which offered a superior education in mathematics and science to at-risk and under-served students who are traditionally denied the opportunity of a quality education. Through perseverance, hard work, planning, and teamwork, Tatyana Chayka's vision was realized. The AMS Charter network is now ranked among the top-performing Title I charter networks in the state of Arizona. The network has grown to include three more campuses, one in South Tucson and the other two in Phoenix, of which the Flower campus was the third to open.
