Our Lady of Providence Chapel is located near the main lobby on the first floor of the hospital. Anyone can visit the chapel 24 hours a day for quiet reflection, meditation and prayer. Catholic Mass is celebrated at the chapel daily at 11:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Daybreak Mass is celebrated at the chapel every Sunday at 6:15 a.m. The chaplains at Providence Alaska Medical Center are here 24 hours a day to serve the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families. You do not need to have certain religious beliefs to visit our chapel or to ask one of our chaplains to visit your hospital room. We are simply here to listen, offer encouragement and support no matter your religious, cultural or spiritual beliefs. Whether you want someone to pray for you or simply want a quiet place to meditate, we provide a range of services to meet all your spiritual, emotional and social needs. We’re happy to even just sit with you and talk about the meaning and purpose of life.
