History
The Juneau Hostel is a non-profit, and is run by a volunteer board, and two volunteer houseparents.
Specialties
Our mission is to provide travelers with clean, safe, and inexpensive overnight accommodations, as a way of fostering a sense of community with people of different backgrounds. We have gender-separate dormitories (3-8 beds per room) and one private room reserved exclusively for families traveling with small children or persons with disabilities. We provide towels, sheets, pillows, washer/dryer, and we have a kitchen with cookware, and a fridge. The rate is $12.00 US plus one house chore per night. The hostel is open from 8am - 9am, and from 5:00pm - 11:00pm.
