Fielding Lake State Recreation Site is a picturesque campground nestled in the Alaska Range, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. With 17 campsites, a boat launch, and toilets, this rustic campground provides a peaceful retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted by the natural fish population in Fielding Lake, including Arctic Grayling, lake trout, and burbot. Although garbage service is no longer available, the beauty of this alpine campground and its excellent fishing opportunities continue to attract visitors year after year.
Located at mile 200.5 of the Richardson Highway, Fielding Lake State Recreation Site is currently under private management and is not maintained by the State of Alaska. The Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation aims to provide outdoor recreation opportunities and preserve natural, cultural, and historic resources for the enjoyment and welfare of the people.
