The Council of Athabascan Tribal Governments, also known as CATG, conserves and protects tribal land and other resources. Founded in 1985, it encourages and supports the exercise of tribal powers of self-government. The organization also supports economic development. The Council of Athabascan Tribal Governments serves individuals throughout Alaska. It operates the Yukon Flats Health Center, which offers primary health care, laboratory, pharmacy and environmental health services. In addition, the organization provides a community health aide program. The Council of Athabascan Tribal Governments cooperates with tribes and agencies to develop capacity to identify, document, conserve and protect traditional lands and resources.
