History
After 15 years in the Muncie Location, the VGR has moved to Montgomery, Alabama. The VGR was the genesis of Jared Cheek, and by setting the key philosophy in stone - to expand people's taste in the name of authentic music with soul (at affordable prices)! The store has steadfast through numerous changes and expansions; with an attention to detail and customer service the shop has evolved to accommodate best it can a small hand-picked selection of music in numerous formats. Every item is hand-picked and the help is familiar with the music to help inform and embark on the adventures of new music with each customer. Years later the store still offers up to date music as well as a growing back catalog of classics, some undeniable and others over-looked. The VGR also hosts live events for local and touring acts to perform in front of an all ages audience that are always enthusiastic to hear new music.
