Operational since 1874, American Postal Workers Union has been one of the largest postal unions in the world. It represents approximately 330,000 employees of the U.S. Postal Service, including clerks, maintenance employees and motor vehicle service workers. The union is a democratic organization comprised of dues-paying members belonging to more than 1,000 state/local unions and retiree chapters from various state/territories. As an AFL-CIO affiliate, the organization supports the struggle for social and economic justice for all working families.
