Operational since 1968, La Petite Academy is a group of 500 schools that caters to children from infants to school-going age. Located in Decatur, Ala., the school offers programs, including Infant for more than six weeks, Toddler for more than 12 months, Two's, Early Preschool for 2-3-year-olds, Preschool for 3-4-year-olds, Prekindergarten for 4-5-year-olds, School for 5-12-year-olds and summer camps. Its curriculum includes reading program, math, science, social studies and community awareness, handwriting and literature based programs. The school has received accreditation from the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation, Accreditation Professional Preschool Learning Environment and National Association of Child Care Professionals.
