Home Oil Company is a family owned and operated distributor of petroleum products and services throughout the 75 mile radius of Dothan, Ala. The owner and former president, Tom Shirley, and his wife, Jo, started the business in 1966. Their two sons and one daughter are also part of its business success. Being a family-owned and operated business allows Home Oil to cooperate with each other and get much more accomplished. The owners of Home Oil extend that family relationship to its employees and maintain positive self-esteem. Its products are distributed to gas station and convenient store chains such as Chevron and bp. Home Oil is headquartered in Cowarts, Ala.
