Alabama Avenue Middle School offers lessons in an array of subjects, including civics, geography, English, science, math and science. In addition, the school provides education in several elective courses, such as creative arts, reading, art, band, drama, choir, multimedia, family and consumer science and study skills. The middle school organizes a range of sporting activities that include football, golf, basketball, baseball, soccer and track. The school has a parent-teacher organization that works with students, their families, schools and the community to expand the educational opportunities for students. Alabama Avenue Middle School has counselors who work directly with the faculty, students and their parents to facilitate the academic success and personal development of the students. The school serves students in grades seven and eight and has its campus in Albertville, Ala.
