The American Baseball Foundation (ABF) is a non-profit organization based in Birmingham, AL, dedicated to using the power of baseball to promote academic success and personal development among at-risk students. Through their BASIC (Baseball Academic Skills Instructional Course) program, they have successfully helped students in grades one through eight improve their reading and math skills, with an average gain of 2.4 months in reading and 3.8 months in math.
