First United Methodist Church is an evangelical Christian congregation serving Jesus Christ. Based in Tallassee, Ala., the church is engaged in connecting people to the Word of God and occupying them with ministry work in the area and throughout the world. Additionally, it carries out worship, fellowship, offerings, study and prayer services. The First United Methodist Church operates various ministries, offering programs dedicated to adults, youth and children. The church also has a music ministry which trains three choirs, namely Chancel, Handbells and the children's choir.
