J. Larry Newton School is an elementary school that provides academic education to more than 750 students in grades kindergarten through eight. It has various clubs and organizations, such as future careers and community leaders of America, National Junior Honor Society, sunshine committee, small group guidance and technology student association. The school has a parent-teacher organization that organizes various fundraising events for the overall development of the school. It offers educational classes in family and consumer science, physical education, computer technology, music, social studies, literature, reading, science and career education.
