To realize more efficient bulk shipments, companies throughout the world have utilized Powertex s bulk liners. Since the company began manufacturing in 1977, it has been aiding in the shipment of products from the petrochemical, agricultural and mineral industries. In 1992, its international network of agents was formed in Europe and the Far East. During the course of the next eight years, the company introduced more than 100 new liner designs to allow difficult flowing products and powders to be shipped in bulk liners. In 2003, the company extended its services to include material handling equipment, logistics and project management while further expanding its product line. It also opened a manufacturing facility in Houston to produce its Sealiner flexitanks and also opened a joint venture manufacturing operation in India to increase its worldwide production capabilities.
