The Chicken Farmers of Newfoundland & Labrador (CFNL) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1980 under the Newfoundland and Labrador Chicken Marketing Scheme. Their mission is to effectively promote, control, and regulate the production and marketing of chicken within the province, ensuring a safe and secure supply for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Operating under a risk management system known as supply management, CFNL is governed by a board of five directors appointed by the Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources. With a vision of a stable, prosperous, and robust chicken industry, CFNL aims to provide a long-term solution for chicken production and marketing in the region.
